well...ok, neil armstrong is the man, but this guy is the...ummm, second man? john young. i don't remember the details, but this guy's space career lasted a long time. i believe he was involved in the early space program, in the '60s, and his career continued well into the space shuttle era.in fact, he was the pilot of the first-ever shuttle flight, on the enterprise (which was named after the star trek ship). the enterprise never went into space, but was used only for sub-space tests.
