i caught this after i published the blog. deep purple singer ian gillan, centre, sang the role of jesus on the soundtrack of 'jesus christ superstar'. he wasn't in the movie though, that was that other guy, ron ely.....no, ron ely was tarzan.
anyway, apparently gillan wanted too much money, so they went with that tarzan guy.....wait, no, not the tarzan guy, that other guy that no one has heard of since. check out that 'jesus christ superstar' soundtrack if you get a chance, gillan's vocals are awesome.
